Burma Bags
Periodically, Auburn Presbyterian Church collects bags that are later delivered to Burmese refugees. These bags provide needed items for those fleeing for their lives.
When creating a Burma Bag, comfortably fill a gallon-size plastic zipper bag with items from the list below. Please don’t overstuff the bag—it needs to close securely. Families carry these bags with them when hiding in the jungle. Often it is a child carrying it.
Items For the Burma Bags
- Multivitamins (adult)
- Pediatric vitamins for children (Gerber Vitamin Drops, for example)
- Children's chewable vitamins
- Small cap
- Mittens or gloves
- Shirt (not a one-piece)
- Teether or pacifier
- Small fingernail clippers
- Small comb and mirror
- Toothbrushes
Please include a photo of your family or a postcard of a scene from our area. It helps the people who receive the bags feel connected to someone who cares. Don’t put your name or address on these. The church name and address will be available to The Good Life Club so any correspondence will come to the church.
