Women's Ministries
The women's ministry at Auburn Presbyterian Church is dedicated to providing ways for women to grow in the Lord and connect to each other. There are bible studies, Women's Connection, and WISE.
Women's Connection
The Women's Connection provides special care and fellowship to the women in our midst, hosting speciel events such as spring and fall luncheons with a featured speaker and open houses There is also a "secret sister" program to bless the women. The women's connection has four main goals:
- To bring quality opportunities to women to encourage and assist them in their
- personal spiritual growth.
- To build women up in Christ that they would mature in their desire to live a life
- pleasing to God.
- To bring women together to support and nurture one another.
- To excite women about their place in God's plan so that they might reach out to
- others and draw them in.
The Women's Connection team meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM, and they encourage women to attend the meetings and help them plan, add their own ideas or just listen. No one who attends has to take on any task unless she wants to and can. She may wish to be just a sounding board. Currently the team consists of Betty Simon, Peggy Fleming, Joanne Butterfield, Bernice Olenick and Linda Thompson.
Women's Bible Studies
In additional to Women's Connection, about a dozen to fifteen ladies meet at 1:30 PM on the second Tuesday of the month from September through June in various homes to study, pray for those in need, enjoy refreshments, and have a wonderful time of fellowship. All ladies of APC and their friends are invited to attend. They welcome newcomers.
WISE
Auburn Presbyterian Church also supports Women in Search of Excellence (WISE), by providing facilities for a daytime and evening meeting.

In June, the Women's Connection held an open house which celebrated women over seventy.

The spring event, in April, was a luncheon held at the church.
Linda Thompson, women's ministry team leader, spoke about her life's journey with the Lord. The women attending were able to reflect on what the Lord was doing in their own lives.
