Life Groups
At APC, Life Groups are our basic small groups for relationship building, Bible study, and prayer. Anyone able to attend a meeting is encouraged to be in a Life Group. The idea is for Life Groups to grow to about 15-19 and become two groups so there is room to grow. Most Life Groups meet in homes. In addition to Life Groups, there is the adult bible study on Sunday morning, and groups based on shared interests, and men's and women's study groups.

The list below includes each group's general make-up, focus, schedule, and meeting locations. These are subject to frequent changes, so it is always best to check the calendar and contact the church for the latest information. Often groups suspend or limit meetings during the summer months.

Alpha
Alpha is a sizable group led by John & Mary Schug. It includes couples and singles basically in the 40-60 age group. Alpha 1 meets every Monday evening at 7:00 in a home. Read Mary's description of a typical evening.
The Boomers
The Boomers group recently started with some good-natured kidding about being Baby Boomers. It is growing and setting up a plan for Bible study. Three of the couples have been invited to sing as part of the Praise Team, adding variety to our worship time...and, no they do not wear tie-dye shirts to church!
The Gleaners
The Gleaners, led by John & Edie Tillema, meets at 7 PM. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, usually at the Tillema’s home. It includes couples and singles primarily in the 70 and up age group.
God’s Goodtimers
God’s Goodtimers (aptly named), led by Norman & Frances MacLeod, meet each Thursday afternoon at 2 PM. The group meets in homes except on the first Thursday of each month when they start at the noon prayer meeting and continue their meeting at the church. The basic age grouping is 50 and up.
Hands On
The Hands On Life Group is both a fellowship of families with children and a Life Group led by Theresa Voss. The Life Group meets after church in the church or at a home on the first and third Sundays of the month. The adults enjoy a time of study and fellowship while the children enjoy some supervised fun.
Social occasions are held periodically, especially in the summer. The age range for this group is wide from the late teens and up, as there are some grandparents raising grandchildren included as well.
Noah’s Crew
Noah’s Crew, led by Cotton & Lynn Neufeld, meets in the church library on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 1 PM. The age group is basically singles and couples in their 50s and up but all are welcome.
The Seekers
The Seekers, led by Lynden & Lois Laird, meet on the first and third Wednesday evenings at 7 PM. in a home at Lake of the Pines. This group consists chiefly of couples and singles in their 40s and up.
The Travelers
The Travelers, led by Ralph & Bernice Olenick, meet in homes on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 6:30 PM in homes. This is a sizable group of people in their 40s and up. Their name fits the group as most travel a great deal.
