Extreme Team
Ministers in Oakland
On Friday, August 3, 2007, our youth Extreme Team traveled to Oakland to minister at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church. They took Amtrack to the Bay Area station and then traveled via Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to a station near the church.

Patty Markham, one of the supervising adults on the trip, wrote this report:
It was a wonderful trip. We worked HARD on Friday after we arrived—started cleaning the kitchen cleaned the floor in the fellowship hall (about 300 square feet of tile) and cleaned all the tables 
and tableclothes and were ready for the Friday Night dinner. You would have been so PROUD of Sarah, Nathan and Jennifer as they served the dinner (the volunteers of the church cooked). There were at least 75 to 90 people and our kids were gracious and wonderful!!!
We got up early Saturday morning and finished cleaning the church kitchen (Judy is a REAL work horse) and Dennis Kay and Ron helped with plumbing issues AND cleaning. Molly and Kyle cleaned out a closet in the Sunday School area. Believe me, it was a real job they had to move everything out of this huge closet/room and arrange all the stuff and put it back. We did have permission to throw some stuff away BUT!!!
Anyhow it was a wonderful time and we are all tired. I want to give extra SPECIAL blessings for Judy. She is a wonderful lady, a true lover of our Lord. She had things planned for the kids last night. I was already in my sleeping bag on the floor. She made this very special for them. What a wonderful lady!!
