Lenten Series 2010
Faithfully Following Jesus
Lent is the season leading up to Easter in which we focus on Jesus, His love for us, and His sacrifice on the cross for our sin. Each year, on the first six Wednesdays of Lent, we join together with several other congregations for shared services. This is done in a way that may be unique to Auburn. The service is held at a different church each Wednesday. The host pastor and congregation lead the service according to their Sunday morning tradition. A pastor of another church is designated as the preacher for the service.
Each service starts at 7 PM. They are usually well attended. Except for Ash Wednesday, there is a reception afterward with goodies to eat while meeting new people and old friends.
