Hymn Sing 2007
On August 19, APC had its annual hymn sing and barbecue.
Coordinated by Mary Schug and hosted by the Alpha 1 life group, the event featured an excellent barbecue dinner of tri tip, hot dogs, potato salad, green salad, fruit, garlic bread, and cherry dump cake for dessert.
Begin Family Music, the singing group to which our Praise Team member Elizabeth Townsend belongs, played a number of songs from all genres, including folk, celtic, and spiritual.
Praise team members Katie Baker, Elisabeth Townsend, and director Preston Saunders led the sing along. A selection of hymns was provided in a prepared songbook, and folks called out their requests. The fun continued until it became too dark to see.
